Assessment and Evaluation
Hindu Public School follows the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) pattern as per CBSE guidelines. Both scholastic and co-scholastic aspects are assessed.
Scholastic Domain
- Formative and Summative Assessments are conducted
- Unit Tests and Term Tests are held throughout the year
- Various in-house examinations are conducted
Assessment Objectives
- To improve students’ learning
- To provide valid information concerning student progress to students, parents, and teachers
- To gather evidence of students’ performance over time to measure learning and understanding

Assessment Schedule
- Classes III to X: Two Formative Assessments and one Summative Assessment per term
- Classes XI and XII: Class tests, unit tests, class work, assignments, and term exams
Grading System
- Students are graded on a nine-point scale
- A minimum grade D is required to pass each subject
Promotion Criteria
- The final report and promotion are based on the student’s performance throughout the year
- The performance is weighed as follows:
- First Term Assessment: 50%
- Second Term Assessment: 50%
Important Notes
- Pupils are required to appear for all examinations as scheduled
- Absence from an examination will not be re-examined
- In case of illness, a doctor’s certificate is required
- Absence for other reasons will not be condoned
