House System

In order to develop qualities of self – confidence, leadership, mutual understanding, and co – operation, public speaking as well as to foster healthy competition, the school is divided into four houses. All teachers and students are allotted one of these houses. House System provides opportunity to a large number of students for their participation in inter-house activities and competitions. These activities are conducted under the supervision and guidance of teachers as House Masters (HM) and Assistant House Masters (AHM). Each house is headed by House Captain and Vice House Captain. Points are awarded to students throughout the year for Co-curricular activities, games and sports. At the end of the year, the house gaining the highest number of point is awarded a rolling Cock House Trophy. Inter house competitions are organized in Games & Sports, Dramatics, Debates, Quiz, Arts and Music etc. Students in classes Nursery, KG, I and II explore their interest areas in non – scholast

House names and their colours are as follows:

1. Chanakya : Green

2. Dr. Radha Krishnan : RED

3. Major Dhayan Chand : YELLOW

4. Sardar Patel House : BLUE

A senior teacher is placed as Incharge of each house. He & other staff members work as the guardians, guides and helpers of the students. Houses are put on duty on weekly basis. Each house on its turn organizes activities like conducting the morning assembly and inter-house competitions.

Thus a healthy spirit of competition, cooperation, sportsmanship and the ability to plan and organize is inculcated amongst the students. The objective is to develop in the students a positive self-concept about themselves and to discover and nurture their talent.
